Lolle

I‘m inspired by a lot of things; mostly by my childhood memories, old 80’s and 90’s teen movies, vintage toys like My Little Pony™ and Barbie™ dolls, fairy tale books, and plushies.

How long have you been practicing your craft?
I have liked to draw as long as I can remember. My parents have always encouraged me towards art and creativity, so I started to draw pretty early in my life. My skills and style constantly grow and continue to evolve.

What inspires you?
I‘m inspired by a lot of things; mostly by my childhood memories, old 80’s and 90’s teen movies, vintage toys like My Little Pony™ and Barbie™ dolls, fairy tale books, and plushies. I’m also influenced by street fashion, pop culture, spooky stuff and obliviously by the work of other artists.

How would you describe your style
/approach?
It’s alway hard for me to talk about my art with words, as I feel I better express myself with brushes and colors. I use my illustrations to describe my world; a messy and pinky world, populated by furry monsters, bizarre plushies, spooky dolls, cats, stylish babes, cosmic mermaids, pastel unicorns, colorful toys, ghost stories, flying bats, fairytales, striking clothes, pop culture, candies, cakes, dreamlike movies, fantasy books and more.

What has been a defining moment in your career?
I think it has been the moment when I realized that I would like to turn my passion for art and illustration into a full time job and I started making my best effort to realize that goal.

What are your future plans?
I always have a lot of ideas in my head, and not enough time to realize them. In the future I’d like to have the opportunity to experiment with new opportunities like illustrating a book, which is my all time favorite dream!

Can you leave us with some parting words or advice?
I consider myself still at the beginning of my journey, so I don’t think that I’m experienced enough to give advice. However, I can just say that if you have a dream, make your best effort to realize it. Never give up and do not be discouraged by others’ opinions!
